Chapter 1: The Past Is Prologue
An interesting read. It could benefit from some minor editing (a few typos and unnecessary or misplaced commas), but the plot is compelling.
Also, I like how you posted a .pdf with formatting–much easier to read that than a straight up text blog post. Something I should consider doing in the future.
Looking forward to reading the next part!
Thanks for the comment and for bumping me on Twitter. I’m really happy you gave me some feedback. I’m just starting out with this project, so all the help I can get is always appreciated.
RE: .pdfs You should definitely give it a shot. I didn’t want to do it exclusively that way because I figure there are plenty of people who don’t mind–or even like–reading in the blog proper, but I’m like you I find .pdfs easier to read.
Glad I could help! It’s an enjoyable read thus far and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it all pans out–keeping my eye on your counter for the next chapter! Feel free to criticize my writings, too–it’s not always easy to get honest feedback, haha.
The .pdf idea is something I’m probably definitely going to do: post the complete Freefall as a .pdf once I’ve revised it to my liking & follow suit with future tales.
Great story. I enjoyed your writing style:)
Thanks! Really happy a stumbled across your blog as well. Ghost hunting, steampunk, doesn’t get much better.
Ohhhh…..What happens next? Hurry and write the rest of it. I loved it.
So glad you liked it! I promise to go as fast as I can!
